What you give has a way of coming back to you. While this isn’t a primary motivating factor for giving one’s time and service, it is an enjoyable ‘side benefit’.
A business that is supported by the surrounding community has a responsibility to, in turn, offer support to the community. A business should be a contributing member to society, doing good things and treating people and the earth with respect and care.
Living these ideals daily isn’t always easy to do. There are economic obstacles, time constraints, and other priorities in operating a successful business that can take over at any time. We have found, however, that when ‘giving’ is kept high on the priority list, many good things flow from there.
